Temporary Closure of the Slip Road Leading from Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Southbound)
to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Westbound) with Alternative Route
(Implementation Period: 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 21 & 22 & 28 August 2024)

In order to facilitate the construction works under “Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project, the slip road leading from Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Southbound) to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Westbound) would be temporarily closed from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 21 & 22 & 28 August 2024 for erection of noise barrier and related utilities.

During the construction period, the affected carriageway will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic. All vehicles shall take the alternative routes to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Eastbound) with the following temporary traffic arrangements (refer to the attached Figure):

1. Road Closure
   
   1. The slip road leading from Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Southbound) to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Westbound).
2. Banning of Turning Movements
   
   1. Turning right from slip road of Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Southbound) to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Westbound) will be prohibited for all vehicular traffic.
3. Traffic Diversion
   
   1. Affected vehicles on Tai Po Road (Southbound) heading for Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Eastbound) will be diverted via Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Eastbound) → Yuen Wo Road (Southbound) → Tan Kong Po Street → Sha Tin Centre Street (Northbound) → Wang Pok Street → Yuen Wo Road (Northbound).

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists in the above-mentioned location during the temporary road diversion.
