Date: 12 November 2019

To facilitate the construction of the Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section), we would like to inform you that road marking modification works on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) Tai Po Bound near Villa Le Parc, Scenery Court, Hilton Plaza and Wai Wah Centre will be carried out on 22/11/2019 between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. (Please refer to attached figure).  Temporary traffic diversion will be implemented as follows and appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists:

  1. (i) Tsing Sha Highway to Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) Tai Po bound; (ii) the slip road of Mei Tin Road to Tsing Sha Highway Tai Po bound; and (iii) Ying Wan Lane to Tsing Sha Highway Tai Po bound will be temporarily closed.

  2. Vehicles from Tsing Sha Highway and Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Height Road) travelling to Tai Po direction will be detour to the slip road to Tai Wai and via Mei Tin Road → Tai Po Road (Tai Wai Section) → Sha Tin Centre Street → Yuen Wo Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → and return to Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section).

  3. Vehicles from roundabout at Tai Wai New Village to Tsing Sha Highway travelling to Tai Po direction will be detour to Chik Wan Street → Mei Tin Road → Tai Po Road (Tai Wai Section) → Sha Tin Centre Street → Yuen Wo Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → and return to Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section).

As the said roads are extremely busy at day-time, the above works have to be carried out at mid-night when the traffic flow is low.  We will implement noise mitigation measures such as temporary noise barriers to mitigate the noise impact as far as possible.
