Temporary Closure Arrangement of Tai Po Road– Shatin Section (southbound) from Fo Tan Road to Scenery Court
(Implementation Period: 1 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on 23 June 2024)


Date: 13 June 2024

In order to facilitate the construction works under “Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project a section of Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Southbound), from Fo Tan Road to Scenery Court would be temporarily closed from 1 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on 23 June 2024 for road marking modification works (location refer to the attached Figure). The northbound traffic will not be affected.

During the works period, driving lanes will be temporarily closed for all vehicles. The following traffic diversion arrangements will be implemented (refer to the attached Figure):

  1. Affected vehicles on Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (southbound) traveling to Shing Mun Tunnel Road will be diverted via Sha Tin Road → Tai Chung Kiu Road → Che Kung Miu Road → Mei Tin Road → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai Section and its slip road;
  2. Affected vehicles on Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (southbound) traveling to Tsing Sha Highways will be diverted via Sha Tin Road → Tai Chung Kiu Road → Lion Rock Tunnel Road → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai Section (southbound) and its slip road;
  3. Affected vehicles on Fo Tan Road and Yuen Wo Road northbound traveling to Shing Mun Tunnel Road will be diverted via Tai Chung Kiu Road → Che Kung Miu Road → Mei Tin Road → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai Section and its slip road;
  4. Affected vehicles on Fo Tan Road and Yuen Wo Road northbound traveling to Tsing Sha Highways will be diverted via Tai Chung Kiu Road → Lion Rock Tunnel Road → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai Section and its slip road;
  5. Affected vehicles on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road traveling to Shing Mun Tunnel will be diverted via Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → Tai Chung Kiu Road → Che Kung Miu Road → Mei Tin Road → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai Section and its slip road;
  6. Affected vehicles on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road traveling to Tsing Sha Highway will be diverted via Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → Tai Chung Kiu Road → Lion Rock Tunnel Road → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai Section and its slip road;

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
