Temporary Closure of Traffic Lane of Tai Po Road - Sha Tin Section (Northbound)
towards Tai Po near Sha Tin Station with Alternative Route
(Implementation Period: 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 3 November 2023)

In order to facilitate the construction works under “Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project, carriageway of Tai Po Road - Sha Tin Section (Northbound) towards Tai Po Direction near Sha Tin Station would be temporarily closed from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 3 November 2023 for removal of temporary platform.

During the works period, carriageway will be temporarily closed and vehicles prohibited. Vehicles should take the following alternative routes to Tai Po and Fo Tan (refer to the attached Figure):

  1. Ban Turning
    The section of Tai Po Road – Sha Tin (Northbound) between Sha Tin Plaza and Shatin Tsung Tsin School will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
  2. Traffic Diversion
    1. Vehicles on Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Northbound) towards Tai Po will be diverted via the slip road leading to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Eastbound) → Yuen Wo Road (Northbound) → Sha Tin Road (Northbound) → Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Northbound) → Tolo Highway;
    2. Vehicles on Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Northbound) towards Fo Tan will be diverted via the slip road leading to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road (Eastbound) → Yuen Wo Road (Northbound) → Fo Tan Road.

During the diversion period, appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists in the above- mentioned location.
