Temporary Closure Arrangement of Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) (Tai Po Bound) near Sha Tin Rural Committee Road to a section of Tsing Sha Highway and Shing Mun Tunnel Road
(Implementation Period: 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on 9 January 2022)

In order to facilitate the construction works under “Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project, a section of Tai Po Bound of Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) to a section of Tsing Sha Highway and Shing Mun Tunnel Road would be temporarily closed from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on 9 January 2022 for removal of two sets of sign gantries in the abovementioned location.

During the works period, driving lanes will be temporarily closed for all vehicles. The following traffic diversion arrangements will be implemented (refer to the attached Figure):

  1. Affected vehicles of a section of Tsing Sha Highway travelling to Tai Po direction will be diverted via slip road to Tai Po Road (Tai Wai Section) → Mei Tin Road → Che Kung Miu Road → Tai Chung Kiu Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → and return to Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section);

  2. Affected vehicles of a section of Shing Mun Tunnel Road travelling to Tai Po direction will be diverted via slip road to Mei Tin Road → Tai Po Road (Tai Wai Section) → Sha Tin Centre Street → Wang Pok Street → Yuen Wo Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → and return to Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section);

  3. Affected vehicles of a section of Mei Tin Road travelling to Tai Po direction will be diverted via Tai Po Road (Tai Wai Section) → Sha Tin Centre Street → Wang Pok Street → Yuen Wo Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → and return to Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section);

  4. Roundabout at Tai Wai New Village to Tsing Sha Highway travelling to Tai Po direction will be diverted to Chik Wan Street → Mei Tin Road → Tai Po Road (Tai Wai Section) → Sha Tin Centre Street → Wang Pok Street → Yuen Wo Road → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → and return to Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section).

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
