Temporary Closure of the Slip Road Leading From
Sha Tin Rural Committee Road to Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Northbound)
with Alternative Routes
(Implementation Period: 1:00 am to 5:00 am on 17 and 20 July 2024)
In order to facilitate the construction works under “Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project, the slip road from Sha Tin Rural Committee Road to Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Northbound) would be temporarily closed from 1:00 am to 5:00 am on 17 and 20 July 2024 for road reconstruction.
During the construction period, the affected carriageway will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic. All vehicles shall take the alternative routes to Tai Po with the following temporary traffic arrangements (refer to the attached Figure):
- Ban Turning
- All vehicles on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road will be temporarily prohibited from making right turn to enter Tai Po Road - Sha Tin Section (Northbound) towards Tai Po
- All vehicles on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road will be temporarily prohibited from making left turn to enter Tai Po Road - Sha Tin Section (Northbound) towards Tai Po
- Traffic Diversion
- Affected vehicles on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road eastbound towards Tai Po will be diverted via Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin Road and Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section (Northbound)
- Affected vehicles on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road westbound towards Tai Po will be diverted via Pai Tau Street, Sha Tin Rural Committee Road, Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin Road and Tai Po Road - Sha Tin Section (Northbound)
- Affected vehicles on Yuen Wo Road northbound towards Tai Po will be diverted via Sha Tin Road and Tai Po Road - Sha Tin Section (Northbound).
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists in the above mentioned location during the temporary road diversion.
