Temporary Speed Limit on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)

To facilitate the construction of the “Road widening and retrofitting noise barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project, the speed limit of a section of Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) northbound and southbound, between Wai Wah Centre and near Fo Tan Road has been reduced to 50km/hr (see attached Figure 1).

Please be informed that the project has been gradually completed. To facilitate the completion of remaining works, the above speed limit reduction will be continued until 27 December 2024. Appropriate traffic signs have been erected to guide motorists.

The above temporary speed limit arrangement has been endorsed by relevant Government departments and will be published in Government Notice issued by Transport Department later.
