Temporary Traffic Arrangement from Tsing Sha Highway
to Tai Po Direction
(Implementation Period: 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 24 and 29 November 2023)

In order to facilitate the construction works under "Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)" project, the slip road leading from Mei Tin Road southbound to Tsing Sha Highway eastbound, the section of Tsing Sha Highway eastbound between Sha Tin Public School and Sunking Industry Building and the slip road leading from the roundabout near Tai Wai New Village to Tsing Sha Highway eastbound would be temporarily closed from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 24 and 29 November 2023 for erection of FVMS and sign gantry at Tai Po Road northbound near Wai Wah Centre.

During the construction period, the affected carriageway will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic. All vehicles shall take the alternative routes to Tai Po with the following temporary traffic arrangements (refer to the attached Figure):

1. Ban Turning
   
   1. The slip road leading from Mei Tin Road southbound to Tsing Sha Highway eastbound;
   2. The section of Tsing Sha Highway eastbound between Sha Tin Public School and Sunking Industry Building; and
   3. The slip road leading from the roundabout near Tai Wai New Village to Tsing Sha Highway eastbound.
2. Traffic Diversion
   
   1. Affected vehicles on Tsing Sha Highway eastbound will be diverted via the slip road leading from Tsing Sha Highway to Mei Tin Road → Mei Tin Road southbound → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai eastbound → Sha Tin Centre Street eastbound → Wang Pok Street southbound → Yuen Wo Road eastbound → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road northbound and Tai Po Road – Sha Tin eastbound;
   2. Affected vehicles on Mei Tin Road southbound will be diverted via Tai Po Road – Tai Wai eastbound → Sha Tin Centre Street eastbound → Wang Pok Street southbound → Yuen Wo Road eastbound → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road northbound and Tai Po Road – Sha Tin eastbound; and
   3. Affected vehicles on the roundabout near Tai Wai New Village will be diverted via Chik Wan Street southbound → Chik Wan Street eastbound → Mei Tin Road northbound → Tai Po Road – Tai Wai eastbound → Sha Tin Centre Street eastbound → Wang Pok Street southbound → Yuen Wo Road eastbound → Sha Tin Rural Committee Road northbound and Tai Po Road – Sha Tin eastbound.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists in the above-mentioned location during the temporary road diversion.
