Temporary Closure of Traffic Lane of Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)
near Sha Tin Station & Slip Road Leading from Sha Tin Rural Committee Road –
Towards Tai Po Direction with Alternative Route
(Implementation Period: 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 20 September 2023)
In order to facilitate the construction works under “Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project, carriageway of Tai Po Direction of Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) near Sha Tin Station & slip road leading from Sha Tin Rural Committee Road would be temporarily closed from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on 20 September 2023 for temporary traffic arrangement and road resurfacing works.
During the works period, the affected carriageway will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic. Vehicles need to take the following alternative routes to Tai Po and Fo Tan (refer to the attached Figure):
- Vehicles towards Tai Po will be diverted from the slip road next to the railway and enter Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → Yuen Wo Road → Sha Tin Road → Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) → Tolo Highway;
- Vehicles towards Fo Tan will be diverted from the slip road next to the railway and enter Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → Yuen Wo Road → Fo Tan Road.
- Vehicles via Sha Tin Rural Committee Road westbound towards Tai Po/ Fo Tan will be diverted via Pai Tau Street and enter Sha Tin Rural Committee Road → Yuen Wo Road → Tolo Highway / Fo Tan Road.
During the diversion period, appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists in the above mentioned location.
